Quick! Someone Alert The PTC!

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

Quick! Someone Alert The PTC!

Post by Mr. Jones »

Watching NASCAR, I just heard the S-bomb being dropped!

ABC was replaying a Jimmy Johnson pit stop with his team audio, when as he was leaving his pit, he uttered the filthy word in question!

For shame, ABC! For shame, Jimmy Johnson! For shame, NASCAR!

There were kids within 100 yards of my television... will SOMEONE please THINK of the CHILDREN?! This verbal terrorism against our country CANNOT stand.

First thing tomorrow, we must flood EVERY ABC affiliate with hateful, nasty, threatening phone calls and emails proclaiming our disgust! When that will inevitably fail, I say we organize mobs of parents to march on every station to torch on the buildings and piss on the ashes!

Then, AND ONLY THEN, can television be free and boring! Brothers and Sisters, Join with Me!

And Chase Utley Dropped the F-Bomb during the Philly celebration telecast on Friday.

Big freakin deal.

Yes. Save the children, and your soul, before it's too late. Vulgar language will not be tolerated.

This has been brought to you by the NRA, who encourage you to teach yer youngins the joys of shooting and cleaning assault rifles before the public schools and Obama turn 'em into sissy commie pinkos.

On a serious note, the supreme court is supposed to rule on the FCC v. FOX "fleeting expletives" indecency case this week. This is huge because it will likely set precedent for ota broadcasters for years to come.

It's also interesting that former chairman Michael Powell recently said that he regrets making those decisions, presumably because he never intended to open the door for the "potty-mouth police" crusades they have led to.

Hopefully, the SC will see it the same way. But we'll see what happens...

We'll see how big of a deal it is after FCC vs. FOX (Federal Communications Commission v. Fox Television Stations) hits the Supreme Court on Tuesday. With a maximum fine level of $325,000 per offense, there are some ultra-high stakes on the line. The FCC has been sitting on a bunch of complaints waiting for this court decision, and if the FCC wins this one, the floodgates will be wide open.

If the FCC wins, it will be illegal to say shit on the Internet. You can say it, but it will appear on everyone else's screen as ****.

A picture of Jimmy Johnson in the paper showed him with a booger ready to fall out of his nose yesterday too, which offended me more than him saying, 'Shit."

On another note----it is SO noticeable, couldn't they have done about 5 seconds of photo-shop before putting it out there?

Seriously-----you can't even read the story because the booger is talking to you the entire time just like the shirt-stain in the TV commercial.
