Michelob Ultra is great beer and usually a favorite of mine if I am around a casino (Vegas, Atlantic City, Philly suburbs) in which is too often here lately.

Michelob Ultra Lager is awesome beer, but can be hard to find.

After Bud Lime, I really refrained flavored beers. Even the flavored Ultras were not on my list of beer to try in the last 3 months. I will pick up the variety case of the Michelob flavored Ultras. I am sure my woman will like like what I do not enjoy. She took care of my Bud Lime mistake and the rest of my Miller Chill after I burned out on it after half a case.

Agreed, but it causes bad indigestion if you drink too many. Just after two, many of the Memorial Day party crew was hammering down tums faster than beer. Repeating beer is not fun.

The BUD American Ale isn't too bad. It's not quite as good as a true micro, but not a bad attempt at a micro from a macro. *hic*

Word of warning, tho...if Bud gives you a headache, this stuff will still give you a headache. I guess it wasn't the rice, after all.

Bud American Ale taste too much like a cross between Yuengling and Sam Adams Lager for me to appreciate it for being an ale. I really wanted it to taste like Sam Adams Octoberfest considering the dark color.

Really good lager. It is worth the 5.00/pint to enjoy this in draft (keg) form at the better tap rooms (pubs/taverns/bars) around Philly.

OK! Anybody try Dogfish Head Pumpkin Ale? A favorite of mine last fall (along with Harvest Moon) but I burned myself out on these premium pumpkin ales by the end of October last year.

I had better pick up a case for November/December evening sipping. Looks like a Delaware beer run is around the corner. Glad I am not running local tags on my car to get the Pennsylvania troopers excited about potential bootlegging. Although PA bears are more worried about beer runs to Jersey instead of Delaware.

The only pumpkin ale I had was the Blue Moon stuff. Grotesque aftertaste. But, that's life in the beer world; try some, like some, hate some.

For you chocolate lovers, if you ever have a chance at a Mackeson's Triple Stout, avail yourself of the opportunity. Just remember...more than 2, and you'll feel like you have a sandbag in your belly. Very, very heavy.

Bud Select

Bud Select is Bud Light for those that prefer Coors Light. It really lacks a lot of the Budweiser character, but does taste good.

Note: The dark Michelob Ultra is Ultra Amber and only available in bottles. Still a great beer and as good as Michelob Lager.

New Beers for the day...


Bud American Ale. First real drink of this new beer with the Budweiser name. 1 12oz Bottle was just enough for me to take a taste, fall in love, enjoy it a bit and then grow sick of the flavor and have to slam down the last 2 oz of the 12 oz bottle. Glad I spent a buck fifty at the fancy beer store instead of $20.00 for a case.
Michelob Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale. Not nearly as heavy as Harvest moon and more ale like. Good rounded flavor and not too sweet like pumpkin pie.
Leinenkugal Honey Weiss: Joke for my friend along with the other beer (named Jack Weiss hahahaha) this is a great beer that is not as bitter as a proper ale and not as sweet as a honey wheat lager. It lacks the hop flavor my favorite Hoegaarden.
