A Nitro woman has been accused of assaulting her mother and stealing mounted deer heads from her mother's home.

Police arrested Brandy R. Cohen, 34, of 19th Street.

State Police troopers responded to a domestic in progress at a home on Dutch Hollow Road in Dunbar at about 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Magistrate Court.

Vickie Cain, Cohen's mother, told Senior Trooper A. B. Ward Cohen and her 15-year-old daughter came to her home and after being asked to leave several times knocked open the front door, the complaint said.

Cain told Trooper Ward Cohen assaulted her, and troopers noted a large cut on her right forearm and a "significant amount" of blood on her clothes. Cain told the trooper that Cohen and the girl then began to take mounted deer heads from the living room walls and put them into the car they arrived in, the complaint said.
