An understanding of large people

Did anyone notice that those are REAR shots of those people? Hell, they could be ANY fat person. Now, had I posted frontal shots....

Here's what large people are doing: They are endangering Emergency Services. (I know, as I worked there 23 years). They have sent more paramedics to premature pensions than anything else. A few years ago, a greatly "overweight" aircraft crashed on take-off in Charlotte. All aboard were killed. It was discovered that the plane exceeded gross take-off weight due to the fact that the FAA hadn't taken into account the expanding waistlines of Americans. That has been changed. Same thing happened a couple of years ago when a sightseeing boat sank near Niagara Falls. Same thing was discovered. I could go on but it's NOT fat people that I care about. It's NONE of my business how you look or live. That's YOUR business. All I ask is that fat people give me the same courtsey. I've had more arguments with fat people over my smoking than you would believe. (I wasnt smoking around them either). It just burns me how smug people can be when they have no right to.

I assume you're including the grossly/obscenely obese that *WORK* in Emergency Services as well? Cheese and rice, every time I pass an ambulance "on the scene" there is some 2 ton woman with a stethoscope wrapped around her neck waddling out of the back of the ambulance.

He/She will be getting that "early pension" as well.

Point well taken. Most police and fire agencies have adopted policies on physical fitness. "Third service" ambulance providers (both private companies and government operated EMS providers) are well behind the curve on establishing height-weight standards and being proactive on physical fitness and health. But then again, look at nurses and hospital people. The last time my kid had to visit the Pediatrician, almost every nurse in the building was a whale. And these are the people who should know better.
