RIP Susan Madsen Oliverio

Very sad to hear this news. Susan was a great talent, and a beautiful girl. She worked at WKKW before the frequency change, and was an important part of our staff at "The Great 98". She did middays, and later returned as an account rep. I know she worked other places, but that's how I knew her. Talented and very creative. The two of us had some great fun in the production studios coming up with ideas.

She'd apparently been very ill, but I wasn't aware of it. Remember her and the family in your prayers.

Susan Madsen Oliverio

Susan Madsen Oliverio, age 45, of Morgantown passed away Monday (Sept. 1, 2008) at UPMC Hospital in Pittsburgh after an extended illness. She was born June 13, 1963, in Key West, Fla., a daughter of the late Walter James and Eileen Marie Blaisdell Madsen.Susan was a sales consultant for Comcast Cable in Morgantown and was a Christian by faith.Susan is survived by two sons, Mario Oliverio and Alec Oliverio, both at home and their father Peter Oliverio of Bridgeport; two sisters, Wendy Amos of Greenville, Ill., and Beth Madsen of Stroudsburg, Pa.; four brothers, Bruce Chabot of Charlotte, N.C., Walt Madsen of Minneapolis, Minn., Keal Madsen of Clarksville, Tenn., and Richard Madsen of Fairmont; her grandmother, Susan Brown of North Kingston, R.I.; a close family friend, Steve Jones of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews; and one great-niece; and one great-nephew.Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. today and from 6 p.m. until the 7:30 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Clay Jarrell officiating. Maybe you can refresh me on her, Al. I know I either worked with her somewhere, but more than likely it was going to college with her and Stallings and Marshall and Pat Taylor and Mark Thompson and Bob Tinnell at Fairmont State...

Not sure where Susan went to college, but she was really young when she worked for us the first time. She was a really pretty girl, and did middays. That would have been shortly after I began in 1986 or thereabouts.She left us to work in another market --I believe--then returned to us for 2 years or so in about 94.
