3 Belle firefighters suspended after arrests

BELLE, W.Va. (AP) —
Three Belle volunteer firefighters have been accused of setting fire to the Kanawha County town’s fishing pier.
Kanawha County Magistrate Court records show firefighters J. Edgar Hoover and William Nunn were arrested by Belle police on charges of third-degree arson. Two juveniles, including a probationary firefighter, also face charges.
Court documents allege Nunn, with help from the others, used gasoline and a homemade device to set the fire Tuesday. The pier sustained minor damage.
Belle Volunteer Fire Chief David Armstrong says the three firefighters have been suspended.
