WVVA OTA Disappearing at night?

Post by tek428 »

Has anyone else lost WVVA the past couple of nights?

I'm using an antenna, and both channel 6-1 & 6-2(CW) have went black on my set as soon as it begins to get dark outside. It was working before, so it's odd that it would suddenly start going out like that. Does anyone know of any repairs / upgrades going on at the tower?

How far do you live from East River Mountain?

According to http://www.tvfool.com I am 59 miles from the tower.

Using an OTA signal meter I get 60-70% signal during the day. It has completely went away the past couple of night though. 0% signal as soon as it gets dark.

My WOAY, WSWP, and WVNS signals all seem to get about a 10-15% boost in reception when the sun goes down.

Their DTV transition report states they are operating at their fully authorized final post-transition facility.
DIE-lectric antenna, though.

Anyone smell smoke?

I had Dielectric (RCA) antennas from day one.
No problems.

I have six Dielectric antennas in use on my towers. Never a problem. Great product!
