Dan was a very dependable, talented and nice "weekend warrior" when he was at WTCR.

Damn... I haven't heard that name in a while. Still, I remember Dan well as a radio natural and a hell of a nice guy.

Dan was one of the best. We worked together for years. He'd been around TCR since the days of the "Flying Dutchman," who, I believe if I recall correctly, hired Dan to do weekends at WTCR. Dan was a mainstay on weekend Tri-State radio for a long time after that, and part of our TCR team that led the station to a 36 share--the highest market share in the U.S. at that time! We'd answer the phones, "Number one in the Nation, WTCR . . ." Those were certainly the days . . .

It amazes me how quickly time flies by, and how many of the names I worked with over the years are no longer with us (Rob "Chris Robbins" Scheibly, Bill Geyer, Roger "Edwards" Corn, Jim "The Flying Dutchman" Schneider, Dave "McLain" Poole, and now Dan "Taylor" Pinkerman . . . I'm sure I'm forgetting others, as I was in the biz for a LONG time!). What's worse is they all died much too young. And just think . . . with that kinda talent, what a lineup that would be for a radio station in the sky!

Dan's family is in our prayers. Rest in peace, Dan.
