Good God. That was dramatic. I was convinced she saw Billy. Convinced I tell you!

Not at all. I love the smell of Ben Gay and urine. It has a minty, wee wee sort of refreshing quality. I just can't afford to bribe the corrections officer EVERY day. I'm not made of money, you know.

Damn, I almost forgot how bad ass Tom McGee really was. I'm sorry, is. News in Charleston has blown goats ever since he was framed. Kidd, I know you have my back on this one. Can you imagine Tom's skills in HD? Only high end sets could handle that shit.

I haven't watched any local news since Tom left. He was my favorite! Jesus. You drive the wrong way on the 35th Street Bridge one time..

Tom was/is GOD!!
On a serious note, he enrolled in Law School at WVU a year or two ago. Provided that he didn't drive to class, he should be close to graduating soon.

Re: Forget being RickRolled...
I hate to break it to you, but that directory doesn't contain everyone's name. I have a close friend who is in her 2nd year at the WVU Law School and her name is not in the directory either, I just looked. If I remember correctly you can apply to remove your name from that online directory. The last time I talked to her, I brought Mr. McGee's name up and she said they had a class together. Why do you guys pick on him so much? Maybe he's trying to get his life together after making a few mistakes.

No picking from me. I always liked the guy.
His standing up for the employees at WHCP was a kick ass move on his part. He could have just sat back and let them get F&%$ed, but he didn't...
Was worried that he would eventually wind up killing himself, but he was always nice to me..

I don't know much about him, but I remember watching him on Channel 13 when I used to visit my grandparents in Jackson County, WV. They always watched 13's evening news. I thought he was a good anchor. I also thought that was cool when he stood up for his fellow employees at WHCP.

Making fun of Tom McGee is a time honored tradition on this board. Much like making fun of Hallburn. I have never met either one of them but their antics speak for themselves. Rule 23344 of the WVBROADCASTING board states: "There must always be at least one target for constant ridicule, two if it is Friday." This month, it happens to be Mr. McGee. Next month... who knows. Could be you.

I wasn't making fun.. not really. I think Tom is awesome, and I meant what I said about him being my all time favorite. God, if I had a nickel for every time Schaffer and I went the wrong way on the 35th street bridge...
I'd have about $1.35.
Well, they go and put a great little bar like Murad's right there.. the worng way off a one way bridge. What's an Irishman to do?

Re: Forget being RickRolled...
I did like Tom's broadcasts during the Regatta.
He was sloshed during the 5pm news.
Probably got free beer.
My favorite Tom deal was the "Skyscreen".
A poorly done chroma key deal on the roof of 13 news Charleston building.
Tom would walk around and point and at times the cameraman would have to move backwards.
There was no railing on the roof of the building.
I watched to see if Tom would walk the cameraman off the roof to his death.
Didn't happen, cameraman was apparently not drunk.
BTW: Tom was a sob with the lesser employees at 13 and with his bosses too.
He thought nothing of calling the station owners and bitching about news and station management.
Not a nice man.
He only stood up for the little people at WHCP because the end was near and he wanted to
gig management in the newspaper. He still got paid in money not meal tickets.

Re: Forget being RickRolled...
I must agree with Kidd on this one. I was not making fun of Tom. The guy was a fantastic news anchor. I loved the 5:30 newscast from the roof of the WOWK building. I also waited for Tom to walk the camera guy off to his death, but being the pro Tom was, it just never happened. As for his attitude with peiple he worked with, who cares. The guy was kind of a dick around the office. I did promotions with Tom on several occasions, and found him to be pretty cool. Him and my mom are buddies, and she just loves the guy. I wonder what makes him hated by so many he has worked with? I know he got axed from WOWK for calling one of the women a "big fat pig". Anybody remember who that was?
