Jones Networks & Dial Global

Ok - since the two have merged this week - is it true that Jones 24/7 networks will continue to be operated alongside the Dial Global 24/7 networks? If you think of an area saturated with affiliates from ABC, Jones, and Dial Global such as the North Central WV area. There is already or has been a lot of overlap from affiliates using the same service at the same time. What would happen if one of the major three 24/7 network providers shut down? For awhile in the 90s/00s both WFSP-FM in Kingwood and WKHJ in Deep Creek Lake were both using DG/WW1's Brite A/C - maybe even at the same time as the short-lived Mix 92.7 in Clarksburg. Not sure if Star 100.9 was using the Jones Hot A/C service at the same time as WELK in Elkins back in the K-95 days. Definitely WPQR/WCVI in Uniontown was using the same Jones a/c service as WDCI in Clarksburg. As well as WOBG-WCLG using the ABC Oldies format. Has anyone heard the new CHR format Dial Global is putting out called Hits Now ?

Triton, the parent of Dial-Global, also just recently acquired Waitt Radio Networks. These folks have been busy...your choices in bird-fed formats just became a little more restrictive.
