The Sloppy Dawg

Post by Know It All »

On this one, The Know It All should actually be The See It All. The question is, why didn't someone in the Coal Exchange see it?

WDGG is giving away a Harley. Good enough. But when one visits the website and takes a gander at the official Dawg rules, as taught in Puppy Obedience School, they want listeners to mail entries to Rock 105. Heck, they even link to the Rock 105 website?!?

I've got it for you below, but you can see the same thing on both the DAWG and Planet websites...

"On an official entry form or plain piece of 3” x 5” paper, sign your name and also hand print your complete name, address, birth date, store location, email address (optional) and daytime phone number. Mail your entry to Miller Lite Better Bolder Summer Sweepstakes – c/o ROCK 105, 100 Kanawha Terrace, Saint Albans, WV 25177. You may enter as often as you wish, but limit one entry per envelope. Entries must be received by 07/18/08. Not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, postage due, illegible or incomplete entries. All entries become the sole property of the Miller Brewing Company (“Sponsor”) and will not be returned.
E. Beginning at 12:00:01 AM (ET) on 06/06/08 through 11:59:59 PM (ET) on 07/18/08, log on to http://www.wklc.com and follow the on-screen entry instructions. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. (ET) on 07/18/08 to be included into the random drawing. Limit one entry per person/per day.
F. Beginning on 06/06/08 through 07/18/08, listen to ROCK 105 for a chance to be become a Semi-Finalist in the Miller Lite Better Bolder Summer Sweepstakes. Listen for the random prompt to call throughout the day. If you are the designated caller to call provided phone number after the prompt, you will entered into the random drawing to be considered a Semi-Finalist in the Miller Lite Better Bolder Summer Sweepstakes (subject to verification).

The Dawg Handlers should proof it and upload it right - or don't upload it.

Is it possible that NUNLEY had a hand in this?

Someone forgot to read the ENTIRE small print legal mumbo-jumbo for things to change before posting.

Nunley laughs.

Mailing your contest entries to your competition.

That's funny stuff right there. In a sad way.

It's a shared regional contest - dumbass. Miller Lite's lawyers printed the rules to include all three stations. The actions are not IN LIEU of the other stations, simply a statement of all modes of eligibility in this region. You omitted the CONTEXT to make some half-assed attempt at a point. Why didn't you quote the paragraphs preceding what you posted....oh wait...it changes the context, doesn't it?

(P.S. it's a URL typed in a PDF. Not a direct link.) From what I can tell, you created the html-link via this website's code-command.
(...again so you would look like you had a point...rather than a beef with Kindred.)

...and you're missing some of this:
A random drawing for twenty four (24) Semi-Finalists will be conducted from among all eligible entries received via Rule 2(A), 2(B) and 2(C) combined AND a random drawing for twelve (12) Semi-Finalists will be conducted from among all eligible entries received via Rule 2(D), 2(E) and 2(F) combined on or about 07/21/08. Kindred Communications and ROCK 105, independent judging organizations, whose decisions on all matters relating to this sweepstakes are final, will conduct drawings.
...again, doesn't really support your point.
I suppose if it was a shared contest with 1200 other stations, you would find some way to overlook it.
How much money did your station get, Miller????? Whoops, I mean how much of Miller's money did your station get??? KLC and Kindred got some.
Hell, I'll link directly to the form to show what an ass you've made of yourself:
http://www.planet927.com/images/Miller% ... 0Final.pdf
Now, Miller leaving in the Adobe edit-notes, sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
...ooooo. Competitor's call-letters on a form....scary stuff.

Young Cameron,

Calm down now. You sound like a kid on a playground. "My daddy makes $500 per day. Bet your Daddy don't make that much!" Geez. Nobody cares that Kindred and KLC got a sale out of this. People sell everyday. Heck, I buy Girl Scout cookies every year. I'm kind of partial to the Do-Si-Dos.

You can preach all you want about regional buys, multiple stations and Miller beer. It could be Big Jug beer for all The Know It All cares. The fact is entries for The Dawg's contest, The Planet's contest, or Jean Dean's contest for that matter, can be sent to a competitor. Nothing out of context, no splitting hairs. Facts are facts.

If you can't play on the swings like a good boy, we'll have to tell your Mom.

Let's have a show-of-hands. Everyone here understand except this guy that obviously rode the "short-bus" to HIS playground?
Let's have a show-of-hands. Everyone here understand that this is print in a rule-sheet that is an attachment on pages following an entry-blank?
Everyone understand that no competitor's website was a link but rather...oh hell you read it. "Miller-Man" made the link in the code to pretend it
was a real link. Just sad.
Let's have a show-of-hands. Everyone here understand who wrote that post and they have some sort of MANIC LARGE TEXT ISSUE ABOUT SOMETHING NOBODY REALLY CARES ABOUT EXCEPT SOMEONE THAT HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO?
Not to mention an ego-issue - referring to himself in the third-person. Wow. I mean, wow.

If Know It All ever got out of the tri-state, then he would realize that Miller is holding this same promotion across the entire country through it "Bigger Bolder Summer" promotion and is giving away a number of customized Harley Davidson motorcycles in many, many markets.
