WDCI airing Bob & Tom - why ...
First of all - why air the Bob & Tom show on a "soft" a/c station. Nothing will chase that audience away more than fart jokes and fake celebrity interviews. DId someone at Withers think they were signing up for Bob & Sheri instead? Second, why keep the liners and backsells timed to the Jones service? They run underneath the show and local windows rudely cut into the show. Third, this morning all local weather, traffic, and ads ran from Q95 (from Illinois?) Not once. Not twice. But everytime possible. Does anyone monitor this station? I would think that with all the cross promotion on Fox46, WDTV, and that AccuWeather channel - they could at least tell someone in the building to turn the station on once in awhile. That brings me to another point - does anyone at Froggy monitor 1340 or 1400? 1340 has constant dead air. The satellite reception on 1400 keeps fading in and out with nothing but static. And, both still sound like they are patched into the board via a phone line. Other notes - when did WTBZ 1260 change its calls to WVUS - and why? Is WELK 94.7 using the same playlist as 93.1 WFGM. I heard the same songs back to back on both frequencies, but different voicetracking.

Are they selling the show?

A poster child for how today's radio is turning away listeners and isn't nearly as good as it used to be.JKF18 wrote:Second, why keep the liners and backsells timed to the Jones service?

For shame. The FCC ought to pull their licenses.

Because when we go on the air July 4th with AM 1190 at nearly 5000 watts of power, it will be a brand new radio station. WTBZ is officially dead. I'm surprised nobody has picked up on it til now.Other notes - when did WTBZ 1260 change its calls to WVUS - and why?

No, it's you're. Your is the pronoun. I also teach middle school English and Math.

You're a moron.MTocco wrote:No, it's you're. Your is the pronoun. I also teach middle school English and Math.
"You're" is a contraction for "you are".
"Your" is a possessive.
The sentence 'you are listeners' makes no sense in the context in which it is written.
"You're a moron" makes complete sense.
Really. It does.

B&T air from WFBQ-Indianapolis. I have heard stations were the computer glitches happened (it has to be the computer..right??) run whole stopsets from Q-95, including the WISH TV news and weather blurbs.JKF18 wrote: Third, this morning all local weather, traffic, and ads ran from Q95 (from Illinois?) As far as soft AC, I have heard them on oldies (Quad Cities area), but mostly classic hits/rock stations.
