This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.
Danica Patrick, the 100 pound girly girl has been driving like most women on the highways.
For instance:
She was warned by Indy Racing League officials not to weave back and forth.
She also ran over one of her pit crew during practice for this year's race.
Then she launched into her team again for giving her a car that just wasn't fast enough, but seemed to disprove her own point when she climbed to sixth on a restart. Then the crash ended her day.
Speaking to reporters, Patrick said, "As you guys know, I'm a little emotional."
All of the women in the Indy race crashed, just like in real life.
But who really cares? When you look like THIS... you can always fall back on a Playboy career.
Driver Danica Patrick
Driver Milka Duno
Driver Sarah Fisher
"I know I've got a lot against me: I'm White, I'm Protestant, I'm hard working. Don't you have an Amendment to protect me"? Archie Bunker
Between dozing off, making lunch, and watching recorded programs, I saw pretty good chunks of the race.
Question:
Did any of the male drivers have names?
Seriously. Were they ever mentioned? Did the race continue after Danica got knocked out? As far as TV went, did the race need to continue after Danica got knocked out?
It...got...freakin'...old....
"I don't know the same things you don't know."
"Yes, you do; you just won't admit it!"
"Yeeee...it looks like a 'Belt Buckle & Ball Cap' convention in here......"
The simple answer to your questions is this: No one would give two shits about Indy, IRL, or anything associated with open-wheel racing if it were not for this...
Danica Patrick turning into RoboCop with her march down to confront the guy who wrecked her was great. It took the head of security to diffuse the situation.
