New reports confirm that Jimmy Fallon is likely to take over for Conan O'Brien as the host of Late Night on NBC once Conan begins hosting The Tonight Show in May 2009. NBC is expected to officially announce Fallon move to late night in mid-May.

Is Jay really retiring?
I heard that he might stay on late nights, even if he has to go to another network.

I don't think this is Leno's choice. As the date gets closer, Leno is throwing out more sarcasm related to his departure. Doesn't this all have something to do to keep O'Brien at NBC? As for Jay's future, he could easily go to Fox, if that is in their plans.

I thought the plan was to move Leno (along with Adam Corolla) to primetime with an American Version of the BBC favorite TopGear.
