Darla Shine's Happy Housewives Club?

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

Darla Shine's Happy Housewives Club?

Post by CoolBreeze »

WVTS in Charleston has picked up " Darla Shine's Happy Housewives Club"

The content of the show isn't too bad. As it's geared for women anyway, I don't listen too much. But the few times I've stumbled onto the program I was aghast at her voice. 8O I winced at the sounds coming out of my radio that I thought not possible!

Darla Shine has, without a doubt the most painful voice in all of talk radio. You could literally torture prisoners with her voice. 8O Her voice climbs into the stratosphere of squeaks and glass breakage quality. When she laughs, it climbs even higher... possibly into silent dog whistle range. With all the squeaky-voiced women I've heard in the last 10 years, Darla Shine raises the bar to a frequency that's not even on the scale. No woman, in the history of broadcasting.. TV or radio, has ever come close to the sounds emanating from Miss Darla Shine. My question is... why? isn't radio painful enough?[/url]

Not as bad as Fran Drescher, Roseanne Barr, or Brenda Vacarro, but close. Never heard her on the radio, but clicked on a past show on her web site to listen. My ears didn't bleed this time.

You must not have heard her wind up! Fran Drescher and Roseanne Barr sound like Julia Roberts next to this gal.

Anything like the "Samsung Lucky Consumer" who delivered "the most famous words in motor sports" today?

"Yes, you do; you just won't admit it!"
