The New Kids on the Block reunion - rumored for years - became official this week because holdout Donnie Wahlberg was finally convinced that the ’80s boy band had The Right Stuff to go back on tour.

I believe this would be the first group that you could do the promotion, "What would you do for tickets?" and have some outrageous stuff happen.

I remember being in New England and doing this contest. I was doing nights (age 19) at at CHR station. I did this downtown at city square. Here's what we had:

1) Two chicks in bikinis wrestling in jello (they brought their own pool and jello)
2) A girl brought her hairy boyfriend down and shaved every inch of him.
3) There was a fountain in city square and a chick came down with bubble bath and took a bath in the fountain.

After the bath stunt, the police (that had a station across the street) came over and shut us down for messing up the fountain....not the brief nudity that took place.

Ah....the memories!
