Good victory for WVU. Now, let's see if they can keep it up for the next 10 or so years of getting into the Sweet 16 or Elite 8...maybe throw in a national championship.
Then, and ONLY then, we can begin to include WVU in the discussion of college hoop powerhouses...like Duke, North Carolina, UCLA, etc... Then, maybe people outside of WV will care about WVU basketball.
I believe I heard the announces say that Duke has made it to the Sweet 16 in 8 of the last 10 years.
Bt the way, excellent article on ESPN.com about Huggins and a treadmill. He cracks me up. I like his style.

I had two BE teams getting to the Final Four(UCONN & GEO) because I think the conference is the strongest. But Uconn bit the dust with San Diego, which I can't wait to see their game today, but I still think Georgetown can get it done. I thought UCLA was going to bite it last night but they survived. WVU will get past Xavier and head to the Elite 8. I just want Memphis to get far because CUSA gets more money the further they go and they split it amongst the conference teams(so I've heard).
I love this time of year!!!
It ranks right up there with bowl season!!
I've done nothing but sit & watch basketball for 3 days straight!!

"The whole thing was just a nightmare," Rodriguez said.

Don't knock the Big Red Blob! That WKU/Drake finish was arguably the most exciting ending from the first two rounds.herdgirl72 wrote:And the Hilltoppers won as well with their freaky blobby mascot!!
I don't like Western Kentucky's chances against UCLA, though.
