Local radio station boasts of highly-rated lineup

HUNTINGTON â€” "Talkers Magazine" recently released its list of top 250 Talk Radio hosts according to industry leaders. News Talk 800 WVHU (AM 800) boasts seven of the hosts listed in what is known as the "Heavy Hundred."

Number one on the list is Rush Limbaugh, heard from noon to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday on WVHU, followed by Sean Hannity at number two, who is heard 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Fifth on the list is Glenn Beck, who is heard on WVHU from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.

Other talk hosts heard on WVHU that are listed in the "Heavy Hundred" include Jerry Doyle (No. 24, heard from 11 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday), George Noory (No. 26, heard 1-5 a.m. Monday-Friday), Bill Cunningham (No. 69, heard from 11 p.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. Monday), and Mike McConnell (No. 84, heard from noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays).

I listened to the Tom Rotten show the other day.
I listened for about 15 "Uhhhs" or about a minute.
All I could stand.

To me the most amazing part of that show these days is he often mentions the lastest Hyundai he is driving, apparently courtesy of Dutch Miller (can you say barter?) Everything from a Sonata to a Santa Fe. And for the longest time, he pronounced Hyunda as Hond EEE.
