This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.
It's funny that Hawaii is listed, since Sirius doesn't have satellite reach there. I presume that the estimated 594 subscribers there are using Sirius' streaming.
It is also funny that when you place your cursor over West Virginia, the little window says Wyoming. Also, Wyoming is listed twice in each column and West Virginia is missing.
"Every day I get up and look through the Forbes list of the richest people in America. If I'm not there, I go to work."
What a bunch of hooey. The disclaimer above the map reads:
This data is extrapolated from our own sales. While we believe that our methodology is a reasonable estimate of reality, these numbers are strictly for entertainment purposes. SIRIUS had nothing to do with these estimates, they are ours and they are just for fun.
I find it funny that PA is the top state followed by NJ.
The sad part is that NJ has lots of great radio in terms of music, talk and sports. Although the lack of country (modern countrified adult contemporary) in the northeastern part of the state (around NYC) is a noticeable. PA also has great radio in the southeastern and southwestern parts of the state while the rest of the state resembles the less populated areas of the deep south.
