WOWK turnover

Post by genlock »

Who quit? They seem to have a lot of turnover.

WOWK-TV, a West Virginia Media Station, has an opening for a Meteorologist. This position will provide weather forecasts for WOWK-TV & for sister stations in WV in addition to other weather duties.

Hmmmm...... This looks like the start of WVMH use of a central news from the capital city with satellite studios around the state.

Perhaps not a vacancy at all.

I recommend the redheaded gal from WOAY.

Alycia Pence - Morning Weather Anchor

Alycia comes to us from the Bluegrass State. She graduated from the University of Kentucky Cum Laude in December 2006 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She began her career at WOAY as a weekend weather anchor/reporter. Alycia was eager for the new opportunities given to her at WOAY and discovered a new found passion for the weather. She's now taking classes online and working on a second degree in Broadcast Meteorology at Mississippi State University. Alycia likes understanding the intricate details of weather and how everything works together to create a dynamic, changing environment. Wild, Wonderful West Virginia has lived up to it's name...Alycia has come to enjoy the Mountain State's many outdoor activities such as horseback riding, whitewater rafting and running in her spare time.

Oh man, that brings back a scary image. Overnights many years ago, this nice-sounding (uh-oh) chick called every night and made some intertesting proposals. Eventually the little doctor (ahem) invited her to stop in. Minutes later...oh my gawd, 400 pounds of love managed to pull herself from her car. I locked the door. She started really stalking me then. Eventually the cops had a talk with her and she moved on. But she's out there. Somewhere.
