Attention Former WKLC Staffers---Warning Bad News!

I hate it that I wasn't able to attend the service for Emma. However, I can bet there was a "Jubilee" (those who know me know exactly what that means) of Ewok-sized proportions there that night. Lisa is right about the time change and leaving early...I had totally forgotten about that. I think in Emma's honor we should all leave early Friday! Rock 105 will never be the same without her. She is already missed.

Emma got her welcome pack - and after clearing-up the fact that it wasn't her brand of smokes - saw her son and no sign of Roscoe and realized she was in the right place.

Hey, Cameron!!!! I yam who I yam...maybe I should write differently and change how I talk....hmmmmmmmmm. Things are great. I hope they are the same with you.
Coach, it was indeed a Jubilee. Give me a call sometime (same number I have always had) and I'll share with you the Jubilation that Emma told me about the last time I saw her. I wish you could have made that last lunch. I had to take a 1/2 day off and catch hell on Monday, but I am soooooooooooo glad I did. I can still here that Emma laugh!!!!

Ditto what Lisa said about seeing everyone...I didn't realize how long it had been. It was the way Emma would have wanted it to be, a "reunion" of sorts. Hopefully it won't take something like this to get us together again.

The only thing missing was a bubbling crockpot of chili in the corner. Other than that, it was exactly as it should have been. Casual, fun and loose. Just what she would have wanted. I went in my work clothes; last time I wore a suit she said I didn't look right. I was going to wear her favourite t-shirt of mine, the one with the VU meters in it, but I figured people unfamiliar with the office would get the wrong idea.

I think most of us 105ers were hoping that nobody was going to step up and try to make a speech since we pretty much spent the entire week on the verge of tears. That would have pushed most of us over the edge, I think.

There's no words that can adequately describe the vast, gaping hole she left behind, both in the workings of the office as a business and in the tight team we enjoy here. Especially so in the latter. I've never worked at a radio station that has a team like the one we have in place here, so losing someone is especially hard.

We always joked that every business needs "an Emma" to make it run efficiently. And now I suppose heaven has an Emma, so it's kind of comforting that the place will run a hundred times better by the time I cash in my chips.
