Yes, they did..but my 'Boys lost. I don't, however, think any rational Cowboy fan thought Dallas had a chance against New England. The Pats are in a totally different class right now and are head and shoulders above anyone else right now, let alone anyone in the NFC. In the big picture, though, for the Cowboys this game really didn't mean a hell of a lot. It was a non-division, non-conference game. I would much prefer to lose to the Patriots than the Eagles or Redskins later on.

Shame... Shame... Shame...

Dallas was much more deserving of a win against the Patriots than the crapfest that occured Monday Night against the Bills.

How 'bout those Eagles. I hate that their second win came at the possible end of Pennington's career as a starting QB.

...and, for those who don't think of college football on Sunday nights and didn't see it, Boise State and Nevada put up 136 points off of 1266 yards of offense as Boise State beat Nevada in quadruple overtime!

Someone to be aware of:

Nevada's quarterback was a kid named "Colin Kaepernick," a strange-looking (6'6", legs seemingly no bigger than your forearms...looked like a video game character or something) redshirt freshman making his first-ever college start. He threw for 243 yards and three TDs, as one might expect from a QB, but he also ran for 177 yards and two TDs.

Yeah, but, as one commentator said yesterday, "they haven't played anybody, and they're not going to play anybody."

It's just hard to be particularly impressed.

Hey, let's give the Buckeyes the respect they deserve. They could finish 4th or 5th in SEC east, not quite that high in the west. And I bet they could stay withing 3 touchdowns of South Florida.

He is smart enough to realise that if you play the Little Sisters of the Poor nine times it gives you time to prep for the one tough team you play. As long as you don't schedule anybody from the SEC.

And Dallas did play well, well enough to get the shit kicked out of them by three freaking touchdowns. OW!

My roommate recorded the Dallas/New England game and we watched some of it yesterday (I missed most of it on the drive back from Starkville, MS, but did get to listen to it via Sirius.) Tom Brady's quick release is impressive. Dallas still needs to get another pass rusher to compliment DeMarcus Ware, arguably the most underrated player in the NFL. And, if he's healthy, New England will be even scarier once Richard Seymour comes off of the PUP list.
