Bengals Running Back Visits Regional Jail

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Bengals Running Back Visits Regional Jail

Post by genlock »

HUNTINGTON — A former West Virginia University football standout and current Cincinnati Bengal running back was arrested early Sunday in downtown Huntington.

Quincy Wilson, 26, was arrested on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge shortly after 3 a.m. He was one of 14 people arrested on charges ranging from obstruction to underage consumption after Huntington police were sent to the 800 block of 4th Avenue to disperse a large crowd of people standing in front of a bar, Lt. Hank Dial said.

Wilson was booked at the Western Regional Jail at 6:50 a.m. and released on bond at 2:38 p.m. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and is scheduled to appear in Huntington Municipal Court at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 19.

According to WLWT-TV of Cincinnati, Wilson was attending a wedding reception at a bar on 4th Avenue. The bride and groom were among those arrested, the station reported.

Atlanta Police are looking for Pac-man Jones after a strip club shooting last night.

Maybe change Bengals stripes from Red/black to Black/White?

Wilson is the third former West Virginia player in the NFL to get into trouble in recent years. Wilson was the Mountaineers' leading rusher his final season.

Atlanta drafted the running back in the seventh round in 2004. The Bengals signed him off the Falcons' practice squad later that year, and he spent the next year on Cincinnati's practice squad.

Wilson got into three games last season, carrying two times for 2 yards in an Oct. 1 loss to New England. He was waived on Oct. 19 and signed back onto the practice squad.

Wilson, who lives in Weirton, was a teammate of receiver Chris Henry, a Bengals player who has been arrested four times. Goodell suspended Henry for two games last season for misconduct, and has suspended him for the first eight games of the 2007 season for his most recent convictions.

Another former West Virginia player, Titans cornerback Pacman Jones, has been suspended for the entire 2007 season. Jones was being sought by police as a witness in a shooting early Monday involving members of his entourage after a fight at an Atlanta strip club.

I'm predicting the Bengals to finish 11-5 this year.
Eleven misdemeanors, five felonies.
Thank you, thank you.

Returning to the lead story...... ( thanks, Genlock )

This is the reason one of the 2 Hamilton County ( Cincinnati, for those who don't get it.....)
is less that 6 blocks from Paul Brown Stadium.
Think the jail court yard will be revamped for the practice field by the end of June.
Prime land the field next to Paul Brown Stadium is.
Maybe Cincinnati can build another money loosing "Feedom Center"
"..... If you are not part of the solution,
then you are part of the problem........
