Where do old talks show hosts go?
WHERE'S JERRY NOW?
Jerry Waters finds new life as podcaster
by Bill Lynch for the Gazette
When radio talk show host Jerry Waters was unceremoniously dropped from the airwaves of Bristol Broadcasting’s WVTS-AM in March, he wasn’t ready to call it quits. A familiar voice on the Charleston airwaves for years, he still had fans and people who wanted to hear what he had to say.
Sitting at a table in Taylor Books, one of his new hangouts, the fire-breathing commentator and conservative said, “I can’t stand not being part of the community. I can’t stand not being a voice in Charleston.â€

Although I never listened to your show, I applaud your efforts.
No one in the media in this area has really embraced this kind of technology before. I wish more did. I think a lot of radio and TV people are missing the boat.
ESPN does a GREAT job with TV, radio, and PodCenter...not just highlights or "best of" stuff, but a lot of original programming and podcasts.

...and, of course, let's make our semi-regular announcement that Mark has not been banned, his account still works fine, and he is free to post anytime. The People's DJ wrote:*waits for Hallburn to post*
Don't let anybody -- especially him -- tell anyone any different.
Yeah, but Jerry's are interesting and entertaining!ccolarado wrote:Hmmmmm...What do Jerry Waters and Mark Hallburn have in common?
They both post stories about themselves.
On the other hand, so are Mark's.....they're just a different kind of "interesting" and "entertaining."
"I don't know the same things you don't know."
"Yes, you do; you just won't admit it!"
"Yeeee...it looks like a 'Belt Buckle & Ball Cap' convention in here......"

If you want true entertainment, you need to check out http://grr.podomatic.com . And, no he did not have anything to do with me posting the address. I actually went to him and asked permission. I really dig the "old" news as well.Arp2 wrote:Yeah, but Jerry's are interesting and entertaining!
