NEW PD AT ROCK 105

Post by Bob Campbell »

Chili Walker, friend of mine. Very talented in all programming areas. Has worked in much bigger places, will do a great job.
Love him. You are hereby commanded.

And he's actually a really good guy also. Almost as ugly as Nunley, but bathes much more frequently.

How hard could it be to load up a computer with a bunch AC/DC and Lynyrd Skynyrd tracks and let it sit on shuffle?

Just kidding, of course. I do hope to hear less 70s and southern rock garbage and more modern rock. Would be nice to have a real modern rock station.

^^^This! And I like what Chili had to say in an All Access interview...

All Access: What format does not exist that should? Would it work?

Chili: Alternative. Check this out, a cutting-edge music station that takes chances, plays music, supports artist, and builds relationships not only with listeners but with artists as well. Add on a full staff of talent also willing to do whatever it takes, throw in some promotional support, maybe a few bumper stickers & t-shirts.... Wow!

No, it wouldn't work -- seems that no one knows how to sell to anyone under 35 anymore!

Sadly, most under 35s are still living at home with mom and dad because there are no jobs, at least not around here. They have disposable income but it's mom's and dad's disposable income. :|

Totally off topic but...no jobs? Really? The jobs are more than plentiful in Southern WV. Finding people that can pass a piss test is something different.

Good luck to Chili. That's a fun boat to captain and you can't beat the group of super P1s.
