LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- Officials said a Sikorsky helicopter crashed near East El Segundo Boulevard Sunday at around 9:32 a.m.
Based on eyewitness accounts the helicopter reportedly erupted into a ball of flames when it crashed.
Mike Fergus with the Federal Aviation Administration said the chopper was a Sikorsky helicopter doing a load lift at the Raytheon facility.
Fergus said before the aircraft crashed, some people pulled the pilot from inside.
