CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Two sports utility vehicles collided Saturday on U.S. 119, and the impact of the collision caused a teenage girl to be thrown and suffer head injuries.
Sgt. Larry O'Bryan, the detachment sergeant at the South Charleston State Police Detachment, said that the collision happened about 3:45 p.m. near the border between Kanawha of Lincoln counties.
The driver of one vehicle, a 92-year-old man, was charged with failure to yield right of way, O'Bryan said. He was not injured. The officer said he is not releasing names while the investigation continues.
In the other vehicle were two adults and the teenager. All three were taken to the hospital.
