MILTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Milton family has 25,000 new reasons to celebrate this negative economy.

The couple and their four sons received a call from Ellen Degeneres personally Thursday night at 9:30 at their Milton home. She told them to go to the front door. When they opened it, Ellen's TV crew was standing there with a briefcase full of $25,000 in cash.

The contest involved contestants writing in who they keep positive during a negative economy. Tosha wrote of her husband taking a new job at a local church and taking a pay cut.

"Being in a negative economy does not change our circumstances. We don't want our boys to see us worry, so we do our best to keep that from them. Ultimately, our faith in God is what has carried us through," said Tosha.

The Ellen Show is flying the entire family to LA for a show next month during the "12 Days of Giveaway."
