Very said email I got today from the News Director at KAUZ, channel 6, in Wichita Falls, TX. They have a small radio network of 10/15 staions and provide us with 3 5-minutes newcasts a day. Not just the radio network - but how can a TV station 50 miles into Oklahoma cover news in north central TX.

Hello everyone,

Just so you know, I am no longer with KAUZ TV. Friday Hoak Media announced they had entered into an agreement with Lawton Station KSWO to lease KAUZ to Drury Communications, their parent company. KSWO will run KAUZ as of Friday forward.

I was released Friday afternoon. I am in cleaning up my office now, and thought it best to alert you so you can make alternate plans, since I don't know what will happen moving forward.

I have no doubt that KAUZ will continue with the radio newscasts, but that will have to come from the new management. Just wanted you all to know, so you don't freak out Monday morning. The afternoon's are set with Chris and Heather, I was doing the other two. Priscilla Ford is the assistant ND and will be the point of contact. You can also call Daniel Fitzwater here, since he has been intimately involved in this project as well.

Good luck to all of you, I'm keeping this email list and I'll let you know where I land, whether it be here out of the business or someplace else.
