For Fast Food Lovers

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

So, don't leave us (heh-heh) dangling on the line, dave. Tell us about the tacos! We know they have fish and a shell (not to be confused with shellfish), but what about toppings? Condiments? Seasonings?

(I can't believe you'd consume a "diet" anything with something that tastes good!)

The Long John Sliver's website shows shredded lettuce and mentions that it has some of their crumblies and the Baja sauce. Doesn't mention what that sauce is or if it is spicy or mild.

Fish taco? Just trying to picture Charlie the Tuna with a sombrero.

Yeah, something technical that I don't understand kept us off. We're back. Now to the important stuff...the Baja sauce is spicy, but not TOO spicy. They come in a soft shell with lettuce. They are VERY good. Anyone try the new angus stuff from McDonald's?

All I know is is that I had a coupon for one free item from Taco Bell and chose the new Cheesy Bacon Potato Burrito.

It is possibly the BEST thing that I have ever had from TB aside from my usual standard of the Double Decker Taco Supreme.

The thing tastes nowhere near Mexican...it's more like a "country breakfast in a tortilla", but man is it good.

Gotta try the fish tacos, though...

If "Girl In A Box" ever makes it south of Charleston I will buy her one, maybe two fish tacos.

Its Long John's. I don't think the type of fish matters.

Could be various, low-bid, fish products.
Like that "cheese food" stuff on the low end processed slices market.
Or potted meat food product.

Is there something dirty about talking "girl in the box" and "fish taco"?
Just asking.

Tried a Fish Taco last night and it was quite good. I rarely make it to LJS but this is my new favorite.

Yeah, I've tried a couple of the Angus burgs from McDs...first one not so good, second one much better, so I'll have to get a third to come to an offical verdict.

Hands down the best burgers on the menu. I know that's not saying much because we're talking McDonald's, here. But, seriously, they're good. The meat tastes like (gasp!) real beef and the toppings are a step up, too. Leaf lettuce (not shredded) and red onion slices. Larger buns, too. The Deluxe is my personal fave, followed by the Bacon Deluxe (leaner bacon than you'd expect) and then the Mushroom/Swiss. Definitely worth a try, and, given the other menu choices, worth the price. (Gotta admit, though, I'm still a fan of the Big'n'Tasty w/cheese).

This "Baja" sauce on the fish tacos...is it a creamy-style sauce or a tomato-based salsa type affair?
