It appears to be a way of saying "split shift". 6 hours a day on the air Mon - Fri = 30 hours, plus 2 hours a day show prep (an hour before each show) equals 40 hours a week. In theory.

That's some interesting math.
It looks to me like you're at work for 12 hours a day, 5 days a week.
6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
50 hours minimum. At $7.50 an hour.
And you're working for Clear Channel; certainly not the rock of stability or the platform for advancement these days.

No thanks. None for me.

What the hell are they up to?

What station's format is changing... again?

Or did they find a way to take 1470 back and they're going to keep the format as-is somehow?

Why do they need a drivers license?
What is a class"e" license?

So why would they need someone with a drivers license?

General requirement?
No drug test or background check mentioned.

Because at $7.50 an hour (25 cents over next month's minimum wage) they will need to drive to their other job to pay for the gas to get to this job!

How can they squeeze in another job with that schedule? That's hideous.

It looks like you'll be living at 134 4th Avenue.
I mean, you'd get there at 5:00 am for a 6:00 am live talk show, right?
And who leaves at 6:01 pm?
There are always things to do, even if you're an organized person.
Maybe you just walk across the street and hose yourself off at the car wash behind Stewart's.
Grab a donut at Jolly Pirate, then get your Methadone fix and head back to work.
Buy yourself a spin with one of Huntington's smokin' hot, toothless, anorexic crack whores every once in a while.
You're good to go.

Everyone's pretty matter-of-fact that this is CC. I'm thinking it's either Mortenson or Big River Radio.

It certainly reads like something a "God Squad" station might do. But it also reads like the writer has had little experience doing job descriptions. It probably doesn't mean exactly what it says. Trying to cover too much in too few words. A job service writer perhaps.

Uh.....the location is 25701-1421, it says.

And who might be at that ZIP+4?

Mortenson Broadcasting Company. Address: 703 3rd Ave, Huntington, WV 25701-1421

My vote is still for WRWB...
