This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

If you turn the dial to 92.7-FM, The Planet tonight at 6, you might forget when it is.
The Planet is hosting a Psychedelic Weekend that begins at 6 p.m. and goes through Sunday digging deep into the catalog for some rarely heard gems like a 10-minute-plus version of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," from Pink Floyd's 1975 album, "Wish You Were Here."
There are nearly 20 more Floyd songs, the 17-minute-long version of Iron Butterfly's classic, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida," some rarities from The Lemon Pipers, Count Five, Quicksilver Messenger and rare cuts from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and of course, lots of Doors, Zeppelin and Cream.
A flash of the peace sign to program director Reeves Kirtner and The Planet crew for keeping the airwaves groovy.

We have a winner. Enjoy the trip. Also, Jimmy and Sunshine on Fountain Square need a ride to San Francisco. Call if you're going and I'll hook you up. The Doors, Break On Through, Jellypuddin.
