A Kanawha County couple is suing a doctor who allegedly ignited an oxygen tube in the woman’s nose during surgery, burning her face, throat and lungs.

According to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Kanawha Circuit Court, Alice Jameson went to Dr. James M. Henderson to have a mole surgically removed from her nose on Jan. 17, 2006. As part of the procedure, she was given oxygen through her nasal cavity, the suit contends.

Good heavens. I would be suing the doctor, the doctor's landlord for leasing space to an idiot, the medical school who award the doctor a degree, the oxygen supplier for suppling potentially deadly oxygen to a nut job... I could go on.

I bet it was a sight to see when the cauterizing device set off the nose hair in a pure oxygen environment and she sucked in when the first pain hit.
Sort of an internal Apollo 1 disaster.
