I'm sure they will do the shuttle thing from the Convention Center and Fountain Place Mall. As for food they are only allowing non-profit groups (schools, churches, etc) to sell food.

From what I have been told from those that have worked with him in the past, Hank Jr, is a complete ass, so I'm sure nothing will be good enough for him. My guess would be they will fly into Charleston, then be coptered in.

Word is a couple thousand (!) have already signed up to go. Tickets are free but you have to sign up ahead of time. The space where they're having it is the size of seven football fields.

I overheard some anti mountaintop Hippies in Charleston talking about infiltrating the event yesterday. I can just see them unfurling a big banner near the stage. I can see 500 angry miners pounding them into the ground long before the first cop arrives. This is the same bunch that protested in Boone County with Daryl Hanna, and have no idea what Logan County's all about...

I loved the good ol' days of intimidating mountain huggers. Making that crowd scatter on Kanawha Terrace has been a highlight of my life.
