You guys DO understand that we're moving into the baby boom generation, the largest group in the history of the United States who are now starting to die like flies right? That means this thread will be at the top on the page for the next 25 years or so.

Yeah, but so far none of you have put together that:
1. Otis Campbell A/K/A "Otis, The Drunk" ("The Andy Griffith Show")
2. Goliath & Davey's Dad ("Davey And Goliath")
3. Rock Roll ("The Flintstones", "The Twitch" episode)
4. John Avery Whitaker ("Adventures In Odyssey")
are all the same person!
Hal Smith...who had umpteen hundred other acting and voice credits on his resume.
Although he did not catch for the 1960 Pittsburgh Pirates...

WHAS talk show host Francene Cucinello dead at 43
From the Louisville Courier Journal
Louisville's WHAS-Radio personality Francene Cucinello dies; hosted "Francene Show"
By Sean Rose • srose@courier-journal.com • January 15, 2010
WHAS-Radio personality Francene Cucinello has died after a heart attack and a brain aneurysm, the station and her family announced Friday afternoon.
Cucinello went to the hospital Monday and died at Norton Hospital at 3:15 p.m. Friday, according to the statement from her family.
She was 43. A public memorial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Southeast Christian Church.
Cucinello suffered a heart attack Monday and a brain aneurysm Wednesday, her family said in a statement through Norton Healthcare. Her family called her death unexpected.
“Francene loved this community and this community loved Francene,” the statement said. “In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support Aneurysm Research at any BB&T branch under the title: Francene Fund.”
Cucinello was also an organ donor and her family said they hoped that she could “continue to bring life to others.”
Cucinello has hosted the “Francene Show” since October 2003, often interviewing local, state and national politicians.
Politicians remember her as a tough but fair host and someone dedicated to the community.
“I considered her a friend, despite her tough questions, and I enjoyed our frequent interviews on her show,” said Gov. Steve Beshear. “People felt like they knew Francene because she was so open and honest, and her death is a terrible blow to the community. She was savvy, warm, whip-smart and compassionate. She will be deeply missed by all.”

"Guys and Dolls" actress Jean Simmons dies at 80
By BOB THOMAS, Associated Press Writer
Sat, Jan 23 - 9:18 AM (ET)
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Jean Simmons, whose ethereal screen presence and
starring roles with Hollywood's top actors made her a mid-century film
icon, has died at age 80.
The actress, who sang with Marlon Brando in "Guys and Dolls;" costarred
with Gregory Peck, Paul Newman and Kirk Douglas; and played Ophelia to
Laurence Olivier's Hamlet, died Friday at her home in Santa Monica, her
agent Judy Page told the Los Angeles Times. She had lung cancer.
Already a stunning beauty at 14, Simmons made her movie debut in the 1944
British production "Give Us the Moon."
Several minor films followed before British director David Lean gave the
London-born actress her breakthrough role of Estella, companion to the
reclusive Miss Havisham in 1946's "Great Expectations." That was followed
by the exotic "Black Narcissus," and then Olivier's Oscar-winning "Hamlet"
in 1948, for which Simmons was nominated as best supporting actress.
She would be nominated for another Oscar, for best actress for 1969's "The
Happy Ending," before moving largely to television roles in the 1970s,
'80s and '90s.
She won an Emmy Award for her role in the 1980s miniseries "The Thorn Birds."

Rapper Apache dies
1992 hit "Gangsta B**ch" peaked at no. 11 on the Billboard Rap Singles chart

MTV.com - Rapper Apache (real name Anthony Teaks), a staple of Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit crew and best known for one of the most controversial hip-hop records of the 1990s, "Gangsta Bitch," died Friday (January 22). At press time, the cause of the New Jersey MC's death was unknown.
Apache's career started in the background, helping Queen Latifah and Shakim get the Flavor Unit off the ground.
"Apache was one of the chief architects of the Flavor Unit," Vin detailed. "Mark the 45 King held down all the DJing and production. Apache was one of the founding members with Lord Alibaski, Lakim Shabazz, his brother Latee. They were the premier Flavor Unit MCs. Queen Latifah was their female. When we came around, we had to get accepted to the Flavor Unit. The only way you can get accepted was through skills. Apache, he was the first one to call you wack. That brother was a character. Definitely a comedian. Some of our best times was with Apache just clowning."
After a string of early guest appearances on such records as Naughty by Nature's classic posse cut "1, 2, 3," Apache finally came out of the background in 1993 with his debut, ... Ain't Sh--. He was blunt and brutal with his wordplay.
The album's monster hit was the Q-Tip-produced "Gangsta Bitch." Although it wasn't a Billboard smash, the record reigned in the streets and in the clubs. But along with adulation from fans came scorn from protesters who said the record was too raw.

Ex Playmate Jennifer Lyn Jackson dead at 40
Body of Miss April 1989, 35th Anniversary Playmate finalist found in Cleveland-area home
By Ken Robinson, Newsradio WTAM 1100
Saturday, January 23, 2010
(Westlake) - Police report Jennifer Lyn Jackson-Thompson was found dead in her home at Schneider's Trailer Park on Center Ridge Road. Investigators say there were no outward signs of foul play, and that the former Playboy centerfold had a history of drug abuse.
The Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office is working to determine the cause of death, however a drug overdose is suspected. She was only 40 years old. Jackson-Thompson posed for Playboy in the April 1989 issue.
Westlake Police found the Jackson-Thompson after getting a call from her husband. Jackson-Thompson had a troubled past, she was charged with receiving stolen property in 2005, cited for disorderly conducted in 2007, and cops say she had a history of drug abuse.
Jackson-Thompson was a native of Cleveland and was born in March 1969. She graduated from North Olmsted High School in 1986 and went on to study business and finance at Kent State University.
In addition to being a centerfold in 1989, Jackson-Thompson was one of the three finalists for the magazine's 35th anniversary pictorial. Outtakes appeared in playboy special editions several times following her centerfold appearance.
