Ranked #8 is Scioto county, with the highest rates of smoking for adults in the country (36%). Ranked #7 is Cabell County, with 14% of the adults diabetic, one of the higher rates in the country.

Ranked #4 is Mercer County. One in four residents claim to be in fair or poor health, with the average person reportedly being physically unhealthy 5.6 days each month. On average, each resident is mentally unhealthy 4.6 days out of each month.
