WOWK AND WSAZ and most of the small stations no longer enter the AP awards so it's basically a given that WCHS will win every category since they have no competition. Sad situation.

and not wanting to throw water on the efforts of the Great 88 One...but the same could be said of local radio news outlets. back in the day, we (WTCR) had to compete with a crosstown station (WKEE) that had 5 FULLTIME reporters (we had two) and three dedicated news vehicles (we were lucky to get a gasoline trade!)...and the awards we won really meant something. With so few real radio news organizations in the state now, why does the AP even bother?
