Magic 106.5 vs. WETT

Am I the only one that finds the cross-promotion between Magic 106.5 and Fox 10 a little odd? Why would you have your contest and news anchor on a competitor instead of your own radio station?

Let's be very honest, here. Magic "owns" the big numbers in terms of listenership and coverage area compared to WETT. Fox actually, thus, stands to get more return from their competitor in terms of awareness.

That is very true. But by doing so, it's almost like they are telling their advertisers Magic 106.5 is the better station for exposure. I've always felt that since Withers bought WETT / WDCI, they have basically regarded it as a plug in and play setup tucked away in a broom closet somewhere in the WDTV building. I always wondered why they bought it in the first place.
