Frontier's airing spots stressing DISH's HD channels, with a mention of 'local channels' thrown in for good measure.
America is at that awkward stage.
It is too late to work within the system,
but too early to shoot the bastards.

Well...

Since I've posted that my wife and I were planning to switch from Dish to DirecTV and have an antenna system installed at the end of June, this news suggests I should abandon those plans. If so, YIPPEEEE!

However, will I be able to receive both Wheeling AND Parkersburg, since we're in the Wheeling DMA? This may sound funny to Genlock and other posters that get 'TAP, but I really want to get commercials from the Parkersburg and Marietta area, as that is like our second home.

BTW, a lady also with Dish gets the Pittsburgh stations already, as they contacted Dish long ago complaining about the lack of locals, so the P'burgh stations were given to her. I'd definitely want part of that as well, as long as it didn't foul these allegedly upcoming plans. Does anyone know if we have to call Dish concerning the acquisition of Wheeling/Parkersburg, or will it be automatic? Nothing has been hinted at in past bills, but the legislation didn't happen until last Thursday with STELA.

Weird to say, but can't wait for Thursday!
