I just got word that many teachers here in Kanawha County, especially those dealing with high Minority classes, have had to take instruction on how to Rap to these kids.
This is another social experiment engineered to "reach them at any cost".
WASHINGTON, DC - 2008: The Department of Education announced a new program to raise awareness of racial diversity among students. The program, Rap As A Second Language, translates rap music into a form understandable to students from all socio-economic backgrounds.
I have several issues with this:
1... Old White lady teachers will look more than ridiculous Rapping.
2... Will these kids go though out their lives "busting a rhyme" in an office setting?
3... Why are we stooping to THEIR level when we should be trying to bring them up to ours? I mean, remember EBONICS?

once again, our nation encourages stupidity when it shouldn't..... it's bad enough we have a generation of pussies do deal with as it is, adding the stupid in will just make it more annoying...

One could argue that ebonics, plus this garbage, is institutionalized racism of the worst kind.
I see this as, "Your race and culture makes it impossible for you to learn and understand proper English, and we're not going to even try to teach you any longer".
I would also argue that most affirmative action programs are made from the same mold of thinking. Blacks and Hispanics are usually "dumber" than whites, so we'll just give them these "dumbed down" tests from now on.
