Last night at Taco Hell in Kanawha City at 35th St and MacCorkle Ave:

The Taco Supreme had no tomato or sour cream (basically a regular taco).
They were out of regular taco shells and using the red taco shells (tasted the same).
They were out of large cup lids.
They were out of napkins and using fan fold paper towels.
They were out of packets of mild sauce.

My theory on fast food orders in Morgantown is that because all places are staffed by 99% college kids, there is high turnover many shift changes, and always people being trained, few people working more than 6 months on a job. I figure that's the nature of it.

I've often wondered, if they paid people in fast food a wage that was attractive, so that older people wanting a job would take them, post-kid moms, older women wanting to work, etc., how much $ would that add to the average meal price? I can't help but notice, fast food joints where there are old women working are always way better than when staffed with kids withs tattoos hanging around the back door smoking cigs.

One Mexican girl, one ghetto girl, and one reddest-necked hillbilly boy I've ever seen.

This is something of a colloquially vernacular neologism to me. "Ghetto girl?" Sounds like a rap or blues tune. What does it mean?

In other words: 21 year old African-American girl wanting to look and sound "'hood savvy" whether she truly was or not.

To defend the fast food workers, don't you figure they know the job sucks? What's their motivation to do excellent work? Maybe they'll get to man the fry daddy?
Plus, remember that, along with radio personality and dry wall installer, it is one of the jobs you can do stoned. I would assume they are.

Taco Bell workers are too stupid to realize their situation.
Most of the others are forced to work because of their parents.
Some can't do any better and know it.
The most delusional of all are the Asst. Managers of any of these stores.
In a temporary position of power, their abuse is total, for next week or next month
they will return to the bottom with the others.
