From the Herald-Dispatch:
WEDNESDAY'S H-D: Downtown surveillance cameras are watching you

Have you noticed all the new surveillance cameras downtown?

Find out what they’re doing — and how much they cost — only in Wednesday’s Herald-Dispatch print edition and our e-paper edition.
From WSAZ:
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Keeping an eye on crime -- literally. That's the goal behind more than 40 new surveillance cameras throughout downtown Huntington.

No matter where you walk at Harris Riverfront Park, an eye is always on you -- a birds-eye view from one of nine cameras.

For several months, the city has has been tracking activity and crime at the park. Some visitors to the park said just the presence of the cameras makes them feel more secure.

But Big Brother isn't just watching you at the riverfront, he's also tracking you in the parking garage -- from just about every angle.

Michael Wilson is the director of the Huntington Municipal Parking Board. He proudly boasts an arsenal of cameras that already have captured and solved crimes.

Meanwhile, 16 cameras have been installed inside the Big Sandy Superstore Arena. The city has put in an order for additional cameras to post along 4th Avenue.

The parking board has financed the 16 cameras in its downtown parking garage at 8th Street and 3rd Avenue.

Market leader indeed.
