Tim Russert Dead at 58

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

What a loss. Tim Russert was a terrific news interviewer. He always did his homework, then asked concise questions and pressed for direct answers.

One of his colleagues said that after working with him 20 years she had no idea how Tim voted on election day. That is the best compliment a dedicated broadcast newsperson can receive, and an increasingly rare one.

Former New York governor George Pataki made an excellent suggestion on Fox News - that Tim's friends and fans say a prayer this Father's Day weekend for his son, Luke, and his father, Big Russ.
