Lisa was on the other day; she does a commendable job. They've used her in the morning shift for 'breaking' news. I haven't checked their website to see if she's still there, but the station promos still show her. At least they did a few days ago.
I haven't seen the pope for a while.

Okay...I checked wtov9.com. Neither Lisa nor John Paul are listed in the staff bios, nor are either pictured under weather and news respectively.

WTOV has one of the BEST historical sections on their website that I've ever seen:
http://www.wtov9.com/station/index.html
Click through all the station history links. Very interesting!
* There's even a frightening-assed picture of that illuminated cross that hangs from their broadcast tower about 600 feet up in the air. I was driving through the pre-dawn fog along Route 7 (in the middle of nowhere) just outside of Steubenville where the berm of the road almost falls into the Ohio River, and then you look up -- almost right above your head on a very tall tower on a cliff -- and there's that cross all lit up.

It's enough to make a grown man shit his pants.

Translators are a Pox on the FM radio dial.

WTOV is at my school today. A 1998 graduate, Jesse Ault, was killed in Iraq this week. Allegedly, he went in place of his pregnant wife, and had either a few days or a few weeks left in his tour.
