Funny blooper thanks to AT&T

We were doing a local high school baseball game friday night. Lita, our PBP and Sandy who does color were talking about the wind/cold weather -and the noise in the background was because of wind blowing against the windows. Lita says, "we need some more caulking up here tonight in these windows." The cell drops so what you hear is "we need some more cock up here tonight." Sandy then says - Ya, we do, lets call Danny(a local repair guy.) And this Danny promotes himself as a stud. A reporter from one of the TV stations who was on his way to shoot some video of the game called the station - he said "coffee I just took a hit of came right back up and I ran off the road."

now this one is GOOD!

That is funny as S%$% ..... I just wonder though.... how would the all mighty powers of the FCC, look at this? Would the station be fined if, some old lady heard that ONE WORD coming from her radio and went blind, or lost her hearing, or maybe only just freaked?

I may also be just getting old but, don't understand the last part of the story.

I stopped using the phrase "the snap, the place, and the boot" when calling extra point kicks because "boot" sounded too much like "boob" on cell phone remotes.

Luckily I think all of our baseball games are in Marti range.

The worst problem I have with baseball is the wind noise. I'm not sure if it's getting in through the shotgun mic at the plate or through the headset booms. We generally use a 10x10 canopy set up behind the backstop...maybe I should get some sidewalls for it.

Funny - yes indeed. BUT - does anyone actually listen to high school baseball on radio anymore? For that matter does anyone listen to minor league or major league baseball on radio these days?

It all seems like a lost art form and something more for days gone by for both radio and the game of baseball...

It's not summer until you're listening to Joe Nuxhall not talking for stretches of 15 seconds or more, interrupted only by lightening hitting the transmitter.

....I think that sentence alone may qualify me for citizenship.

We get more background sound in between since the high school fields are up against a residential area. Usually if it's a warm weekend day you get to hear the lawn mower brigade.
