Any idea where he has gone to??? Just noticed his bio and pic are gone from WTRF.

Dr. Dave Walker now is pic in the tab at top of web page/

he has gone back down to southern WV and did not enter into another contract. on a personal note, what a damn shame - he was one of their best and one of the most personable people i've met in a long time.

It would seem Michael Haynes is no longer at WTRF, no clue what happened.

Normally WKKX would be all over WTRF for this. My guess that wont happen now (cough).

I am not sure what is worse at WKKX the flip flopping or the cronyism.

Maybe he just moved to be closer to his girlfriend. Managment or a new contract could have had nothing to do with it. And please don't bring WKKX into this. It is nice to see a Wheeling thread that doesn't deal with those idiots.

Believe me, all his leaving had to do with was Channel 7/WV Media making him miserable like it does to everybody else.

WKKX and TV7 DO work together...KKX runs there news headlines since they have no news......and of course...their weatherman is the dude that got fired from 7...Darnell.....but he calls in from the car shop...if he still sells cars.....oh boy.....

Correct, and KKX would have been all over WTRF just like every time before when someone left. Before the partnership KKX would say how bad WTRF is now they are great.

KKX is more like a lapdog than a watchdog. Seems if you are with KKX then you won't be attacked. If your not with KKX you will be attacked and abused.

Credibility at WKKX is taking a big hit because of the cronieism and flip flopping. The area is seeing WKKX for what they are and it was a big mistake for WTRF to pair up with them.

Actually WKKX hasn't said a word about anyone in the media since the other morning guy left. That was last May or June..Wasn't he the only one bashing WTRF because he got fired there or maybe he can't follow managements policy. Lay off WKKX, things are just fine over there...

It's kind of funny though how often talent can't see eye-to-eye with WVMH management. Could it be because WVMH managers are a bunch of idiot stooges for Darth Bray?

You folks are in the media, and you have not a clue. The guy wanted to be closer to his girl. He left on his own accord.

Could you people be less informed?

BTW. For some reason you bring up KKX, and Mr. Foster. Why? He's a good person. Oh, let me guess, he was fired once. Like you douchbags have had one steady job in radio, or any media for that matter.

Let me say from personal experience, that there's a reason people flee Channel 7 like rats off the sinking ship that it is. Michael is just the latest in a long line of people to get out of there as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Maybe it's the money...or the fact that the management team makes the bosses in "Office Space" look smart...or that working there takes away all hope you have for happiness in the news business. It's probably all three, but there is a reason and it goes way beyond moving back closer to home.

Don't you think it's sad that WKKX takes shots at WTOV when just a month or so ago WTOV-9 was "The Best" according to the same KKX employees. When WTRF was covering the pot holes in Mo-Town WTOV was covering the valley and while WTRF was showing NASCAR reports, WTOV was playing HS football games.

Before you come on here and defend WKKX why don't you defend the blatant cronieism that makes up 90% of WKKX employees. How many people are employed at WKKX who are from the outside? Two maybe three?

It's about time for another 'intern' wonder what 19-23 year old relative or friend needs a job? Wonder what would happen if I called a college or two and asked if they have a internship program with WKKX? Maybe college friends and roommates need a job?

Maybe you can tell me the winner of So You Think You Can Talk? I am still trying to figure that one out because the best one was not in the 'golden circle' and that contest quietly went away.

I can keep going on if you would like? The fact is WKKX is what is wrong with this valley.

How 'bout the fact that Michael is now on WTAE (weekends) in Pittsburgh. Another loser decision by TRF and now he is much, much better off even tho it's just part-time.
