Legendary talk radio host Bob Grant loses honor

<b>FROM DCRTV.COM: <i>1/16 - Trade pub Radio And Records has abruptly withdrawn the "Lifetime Achievement Award" it had previously announced would be awarded to talk radio veteran Bob Grant at its R&R Talk Radio Seminar in March. In a statement posted at its website, the magazine said, "Upon further review and consideration of Bob Grant's complete body of work, Radio And Records has withdrawn its decision to present the 2008... Lifetime Industry Achievement Award to Mr. Grant. R&R is sensitive to the diversity of our community and does not want the presentation of an award to Mr. Grant to imply our endorsement of past comments by him that contradict our values and the respect we have for all members of our community." The statement did not indicate what triggered the further review. Grant is an NYC talk radio veteran, having worked at WMCA and WOR, along with his current gig at WABC radio.....</i>

I may not agree with Bob Grant very often... however I do enjoy his program and I think he's very talented. It's a shame this has happened, if anyone deserves that award its him.
