Harts Creek Diversity Festival Cancelled

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Not much, but there is one...

Rednecks love violence and disturbing people. White trash just do white trash things, like meth, turning neighborhoods into junkyards, and making it to Ryans once a month is considered highbrow culture.

So, I'll just call them white trash rednecks.

Should be interesting to see what happens when a couple of the accused appear in court Monday. I'm told that with this kind of case they have to appear in person, not via teleconference.

Judging from other boards and internet sites concerning this story, it is reinforcing those old WV racial stereotypes that just won't go away...

If they are going to trial them under state law, they better not muck it up like they do everything else, because this time, the world is watching.

If they get a light sentence after conviction, or get off easy on some sort of technicality, the image problem WV will then have will haunt this state for at least a generation...

Next year is an election year, too, with all three magistrates, one judge (I think), Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, etc all up. Trust me EVERYONE will be watching. You don't want to be the Sheriff, Magistrate, etc that fucked this up.

BTW our sheriff sounded like a complete moron on CNN the other day. BTW he is.
