I had 99.3's post-fire replacement transmitter for a while, a 1974 Harris 2.5H. After 99.1-WHCM (now Froggie 99) went on in the nineties the transmitter went to WCVV, Belpre, Ohio. When Belpre increased power we got the transmitter and used it as the original WXCR transmitter at New Martinsville. Was replaced in 2008, and the transmitter went out to a non-commercial station near Columbus, Indiana where it is still on the air.
My present business partner, Sam Yoho, worked for WADC in the late 70's in sales, as did Don Staats at Burbach, Parkersburg, Calvin Dailey (Randy Jay) was the manager.
