Leave it to a shameless, self-promoting-at-all-costs local DJ and our country bumpkin news outlets to turn Evel Knievel's unfortunate passing into a "Evel Knievel is dead and that sure is sad but ... but ... GUESS WHAT !!! J.B. Miller interviewed him 25 years ago when Evel was in Huntington. Sure enough, folks! Look at J.B.'s personal collection of 450 slides and 12 home movies he kept all those years. Why, Evel loved his two hour whistle stop in Huntington so much he almost bought -- almost, I say!!! -- bought the HolidayInn Downtown/Raddison/Pullman Plaza/Highrise Motel 6!!! But back to J.B ... Gosh, look at that haircut!!!..."
Huntington can be so Podunk sometimes. This orgasmic media frenzy would qualify as Exhibit A. The news story here is about Evel Knievel's death; not about a 25 year old 'one of ten thousand' tour dates for Mr. Knievel, and it is most certainly NOT about J.B. Miller.

Translators are a Pox on the FM radio dial.

What relevancy does the fact that he visited Huntington 40 years ago have to substantiate his death? Did he contract some illness while in town that lead to his passing? Did he contract said illness from JB Miller? I do not understand the connection between Evil Knievel's death, Huntington, and JB Miller? Someone please explain.

40 years ago? Wouldn't that have made JB around 7 years old?

What agency is he wanting to work for?
Who would have him?

CHARLESTON - For the second time in as many months, the publisher of a Putnam County news Web site has filed an ethics complaint against a Putnam judicial officer alleging, among other things, interference with the press.

Uh oh! They've added the middle initial! On Monday, Dec. 3, Mark V. Halburn, publisher of....
That's just shy of using the whole middle name, which, from the press' viewpoint, effectively labels Mark just shy of being a serial killer!
